As the world’s first no-waste cocktail bar, this project pushed us into new territory when it came to construction.
RE Bar’s zero-waste philosophy extended to the building materials we used on the project. Products like light shades grown from mycelium (the root structure of mushrooms), and banquet seating upholstered in pineapple-leaf fibre to name a few. We tested and created techniques to create structural features made from recycled plastic bags and milk bottles resembling terrazzo.
With the finishes upcycled and sustainably sourced, this project is a genuine example of sustainable building and one that we’re very proud of.
